Got a new amp today. Line 6 classic 15w. I really like it! Lots of possibilities and great ease of use. All four preamp are great. As a beginner I think this will help me find my "sound".
Looks good for a Beginner. And very inexpensive. Have fun with it!
Did you have another amp before or is it your first one?
I started on the small Blackstar Fly 3 and upgraded after 6 month to a Vox Vt20x to get more sounds and effects without bying a lot of pedals. I guess the functionality of your Line6 is somewhere between those two.
Anyhow, practice and practice some more. It wont be long before you might be wanting to upgrade the amp.
Had a big Kustom Hybrid 65 watt amp. Just got tired of it and sold her. It was a combo with a 12" speaker - larger combo - yes. And it was sounded good at a low enough volume to play in the house when others were home.
Really sorry, I don't know anything about your situation, but I'd continue with my earlier post. And since you mentioned Kustom, I had one for a bunch of years.
If you stay in the solid state arena, some amps like the Orange Crush series, the Boss Katrina amps and others, you will find some really nice tones.
Here is a guy in England that demos some equipment. In the video, he plays a small Line 6 practice amp. My problem is simple - I never seem to sound like the equipment that is being played....
Ok, I took the line 6 back. I could never get the sound I wanted. It always sounded fake or synthetic. I got a Blackstar ID core 10 v2. OH MY GOD!!! This thing is amazing! Perfect sound, easy to use. Now I'm happy.
