Snagged this from gc , listed as sg reissue . Took a chance before the pictures showed up. Received it today, very pleased with this purchase for 1240 shipped. I believe its a 2019 sg standard 61. Correct me if I'm wrong as I am no expert. 20220115_125253.jpg 20220115_141449.jpg 20220115_125308.jpg 20220115_125328.jpg

Welcome!

Yes, it's a 2019 SG Standard '61.

The SG '61 Reissue was discontinued in 2013.
A limited run was produced in 2016.

With the current lineup, "Reissue" now refers to Custom Shop models.
Thanks, for the conformation. Wasn't sure what the model name sg6100 venal was all about. But read somewhere that slotted pickup adjusters was on the standard61

Congrats!
It was stamped the day before Christmas Eve, 2019 and shipped after the New Year 2020.

SWEEET ! Congrats !

ROCK THE $#!T OUT OF THAT BAD-A$$ !

the info card has got the sloppiest writing on it that I have seen to date, might confuse some specs of the guitar, the last 7 characters being confusable.

My 2020 61 standard looks like a lightly faded heritage cherry. Less red, slightly more brown. My eyes are not the best, but I don't see orange. Seller's picture.

That would be Gibsons's part number: SG6100VENH1

I'm not sure what the 00 stands for, but VE= Vintage Cherry and NH= Nickel Hardware.

As for the finish differences, the Custom Shop Historic reissues switched in 2019 from Faded Cherry, which was similar to the USA's Heritage Cherry and Vintage Cherry, to Cherry Red, which is a fully saturated red, not intended to simulate any fading from age, as the others are. That's why it's a deeper red.
