I hate it. In every way possible. At any price.

I like it fine. Nice bling type thing. I generally like a lot of their style, sage the cap/hat thing.

I think it's cool. I like Billy's style (and playing, of course!) Not something I would buy, but I think it's a neat addition to the guitar world.

Not for me, thanks. I like the copper color but not the contouring or the greeny-gold inset.

Now take that copper and fade it to gold and silver like a metallic 3TSB...

Looks like it's meant for collection and not playing

    No bueno.

Now that sg he played on Daryl Hall's show was pretty cool.

I like the uniqueness of the arrow headstock, but other than that, it doesn't do anything for me, and that's even before price is considered.

hey that case is nice and probably cost more than the 3 guitars i now own...........and although Mr. Gibbons is one of my first guitar heros....i have to say that is a bad choice of colors on that sg at least in my opinion.............now if it was like Red/Black..........sorta of a boc fetish of mine id probably love it.........could never afford it but id drool over pics of it........

I think it looks great. I could see it as a piece of art hanging in someone's house if it were the right room.

I have a hard time with the distance between the strings and the volume knob on my SG. I just set the volume and leave it there. Not like a strat where you can roll it back easily. The contour and the vibrola arm don't make it any easier to get to. But still. It looks awesome.

What did they want for the Pearly Gates Les Paul from the Custom Shop? Wasn't it like $20,000.00? This one seems like a bargain for that price.

When Roy Head did this back in 1965 that was really a jumpin' song. Lots of energy especially for that time.

Is it not to my personal taste? Yes...

    Is it an SG? Yes...

Is it supposed to be specced to Mr. Gibbons taste? Apparently ?

So, if you were to offer me one at a decent price I would buy it.. It is an SG after all..

Huh? Have you seen his gear collection? BG doesn't pay for most of this stuff he plays that are one-off. The majority is Bolan custom made. I doubt he had any input to that Texas monstrosity either. Lots of 24scale teles too.

I'm actually stoked to see him playing an SG. He looks good holding anything, & plays like nobodies business.

I am still stuck on the whole "TEXAS TRIO COLLECTION FROM NEIMAN MARCUS" b.s.

I mean can we spell SELL OUT in any bigger letters for the "Little ol Blues Band from Texas"??????????

Sad when enough time goes by that the Outlaws, Hombres, and anti establishment types BECOME the establishment

Well I don't like them either but when you own over 4000 guitars ya gotta start getting creative
I guess. But then say what you will about Billy ever single guitar he gets he gets two of
because he always gives one of the same to Elwood his guitar tech fact now you guys talking smack
about my man you tell me who else does that? Yep Billys still cool no matter how ya cut it

Dudes been plugging away at it for 40+ years. I used to have that sell out mentality, but do you know what 40 years is like in the music industry? The CURRENT music industry? A guitar slinger even?! He's probably one of the best out there right now. I got to find any Iggy interview where he discusses that very thing.

Hey, as long as he's not doing the gawdawful MTV era tripe, & even then, some of it was pretty rude sounding, like this Explorer he's playing here. I might add he's looking pretty healthy here too.

I hope he has another 10 in him.

The guitar is a bit overly blingy for me but, i love the video. We are all Billy fans as far as I can tell. I like that cream top pickup with the marriage of Gibson and Fender wire. It does not sound like it is in the market yet but, I'm sure it will catch fire with consumers in the future. I can honestly say it is the first of all the "overhyped" after market pups I've ever caught an actual interest in.
