    Hey everyone.
I am really glad that I found your forum! I've been looking for an SG for a while now and I am confused on how to find one that is closer to 6 pounds. The ones that I'm finding online are over 7 pounds. I've been told that because of differences in wood density that each SG can weigh different. Any suggestions for which SG to look for would be great.

I'm posting this in the Epiphone thread because I'm considering a Epiphone SG as well.

John, I have a few friend who are lefty.

I am sure we have more lefty members too.
If I find an SG for you, I will keep you posted.

Apologies if you already did this, but did you try reverb? That’s sometimes a good starting point

    https://reverb.com/marketplace?query=gibson sg left hand&ships_to=XX&make[]=gibson&make[]=epiphone

That’s a search on “Gibson SG left handed”, may be able to get some pointers from there (couple of epiphones in there too).

    Good luck!

I would suggest you search for an SG that has good balance between body and neck

Thanks for the reverb suggestion - i ended up buying an Epiphone G-400 Pro SG used from reverb today! 6.75 pounds and red (it looks like worn cherry). $400 with shipping and tax. very pleased as I wanted one now and they are hard to come by.
