Just wanted to officially check in and say "Hello" to all on this forum.
Am not new to guitars, but am fairly new to SG's...
It really has come full circle for me.
Started playing many, many moons ago with a pretty bad Kay SG, then moved on to
those pointy fast Japanese guitars, then a few years back, I said "no more", and went completely acoustic. Classical nylon acoustic.....no harsh metal or loud amps anymore !!
....then, I purchased my first SG....then the second........and the ball keeps rolling.

Even though I had read that "SG" was short for 'Solid Guitar' originally, I have to say that
"Simple Guitar" seems more fitting...and before I start a war here, "Simple Guitar" is a huge compliment from me. The SG, (to me), is a fairly basic looking instrument, (am aware of the exceptions), but then you pick one up and play it, and you don't wanna look back as to how you ended up being seduced by a "Simple" hunk of wood...........is a curse and a dream at the same time.

There are some beautiful pics of SG's and Les Pauls on this site.

Am very happy to have found this forum !

    Rock ON !!!

I say they are the perfect tools to make music, unlike a blinged hunk of wood for posers. Real nice pair you have (sic). Welcome to the SG zoo and don't try to fight the urge, you've been assimilated.

You seem to be missing P90s. You should try one of those P94 (humbucker size P90) in the neck position on one of them. You might like it.

Thanks for the nice welcome !
Yeah, they are both completely stock, a new pickup is something to think about.....and that would be the first pickup that I would try.

At the moment, there isn't a sound that I can't dial in with just the volume and tone controls.
Think that is the biggest surprise to me in playing these "Simple Guitars" !

    Just Love'em !!!
