I’m a sucker for brown tolex, that’s a gorgeous piece of gear. I’ve always wanted to play one, I’ve heard nothing but great things about the Traynor YCV amps. I bet you’re gonna like it. :thumb:

Great amp. When I got mine I sold most of my other amps. It is very versatile and can easily keep up in a band.

I am selling two amps over this one. I'll end up with this and a Super Champ XD (actually 2 SCXD, one at the summer cottage).

Connected to a 2X12" cab, it is a monster. It can be done with or without the cab speaker defeated.

I've wanted one of these just for the burgundy tolex.

    Thanks! I've actually got a Traynor, a 1973 YRM-1 Reverb Master.

Now now ... I got where I started wondering if I liked it or not. To a point where I posted an ad for a trade with a Blues Jr. Then it dawned on me that I hadn't tried it with 2X10" cabs I have. Plugged it in one of them and BANG ! The skies opened, angels sang and I took down the ad I had just put up an hour before.

It is now definitively a keeper. Happy camper here ...

I had the older YCV20 (see avatar) that I played on for ages. I loved it, but always wanted to plug it into a larger cabinet. I finally folded and got a YCV15 Blue that is even better! Its essentially the 15watt version of the YCV50 Blue. It's very similar to your YCV20WR but with a higher gain overdrive channel and blue tolex. They definitely benefit plugging into a larger cabinet!

Nice. I made a correction, it's not the WR model but the YCV20 II

Cool! Is it any different than the WR? It looks pretty similar and the Traynor website only mentions the WR.

Dunno ... I just wrote Traynor Canada and USA to ask what's the difference. I don't see any. Same layout, same color, same speaker.

Got my answer ... WR=Wine Red ... DOH
    So I have a YCV20 II WR

The mark II has a speaker defeat switch but is otherwise identical to the YCV20. I like that it gives me three speakers options: combo, combo & cab or cab only.

back in '74 or so had a Traynor Y-GL3 and it really did "OUT TWIN THE TWIN".
heavy as an anvil - loud as hell - nice tone.

Good luck - hope it's a good one!
    It's a looker, for sure...
