This beauty showed up a little while ago. I’ve been looking for one of these green DeArmond for awhile now. So far I’m pretty impressed with it. Pickups sound great and the tuners are very good. The nut appears to be synthetic but I’m not really sure. The only thing I’m going to do is a re-string, setup, and replace the pots. Neck is a little bigger than the necks on my other SG’s. Picture is horrible because it’s overcast here. Once it gets sunny I’ll take better pictures.
Horns? No this is not my guitar. However, I remember seeing the Guild solid bodies occasionally when I was growing up. And to this day, the horns are still firmly planted in my memory. That was the first thing that came to mind when looking at the guitar. Also, nice guitar and the finish makes the guitar stand out.
Thanks. It’s a pretty guitar. My CFO liked the color so much so that she lets me keep it in the living room. I hate to be an enabler but there’s another S-73 in green on Reverb. Looks like it’s in good shape but it doesn’t have the original pickups. https://reverb.com/item/38745363-dearmond-s-73-by-guild
Those dearmonds are guild S-100 copy's. Fender bought Guild once upon a time and owned Dearmond as well.
