I'd risk to say shiny poly like glass that can be smoothed down to a nice velvety surface with Scotch Brite.
Neck shape, I'd bet it's a Slim Taper with emphasis on slim.

I would call it "wide and thin". I don't know much about the neck profile names.

The back of the neck is painted gold. Glossy and smooth.

Very nice, the gold finish is beautiful. There was a short lived model Epi put out a few years ago, called the '61 G400 Pro I believe, that came in a metallic gold finish. I could never find one, but I though it would have made a nice partner to my TV silver '66 G400 Pro, giving me the full Yukon Cornelius set.
