Long story short, I've been SGless for a while now (a year maybe). My beloved SGJ had to go, long story.

I got this 2007 SG Faded in a trade for an MIM strat (that I also liked, but I have another strat, and had no solid body humbucker guitars at the moment). I did an initial set up and it has no glaring issues. I did notice that the fret edge (not the frets themselves) is extremely sharp-angled, and the nut is cut a bit too high (on all strings). Soon I will be popping the nut off and sanding it down a bit, and rolling the fretboard edge (I do this on most unbound rosewood guitars I have), otherwise I'm happy to finally have an SG again!

Dressing those fret edges will make a huge difference. Looks like a nice guitar!

lovely looking guitar. just got my first SG after pining for a couple years & lugging around a couple faded LP's lol there is something I just love about the faded models Gibson does, the necks are absolutely perfect to me.

Nice knobs, you'll notice the stock ones only lasted an evening on mine (from picture 1 to picture 2) ahahaha Had to cannibalize a tele and a strat to do it, and I already have another set coming in the mail to replace them ;) My favourite knobs by far...

Nice piece of wood and beautiful color, if it plays as good as it looks you got a winner

Does now. Rolled the edges of the board a bit and lowered the nut. Loosened right up, now she plays and sounds great!
