I've had a hell of a time finding a Strat that I've been happy with long term. So far I've had a few that would linger for a month or 2 them get traded when something more interesting came up. I was working at Daddy's Junky Music back In the day when these launched and thought they looked pretty cool back then. I like the thin nitro look on a Strat. This is a 2007 FSR that included the 2 tone burst instead of the usual 3 tone and a set of custom 50s pickups. The neck is glorious... Satin finish so it's silky smooth and not too chunky. Pickups sound fantastic. Took a minute to set up but after losing some relief in the neck, the action is nice and low and it feels slinky but not sloppy. It's always weird going back to 9s after playing 10s on Gibson's for so long. Anyhow this one may be a keeper. I'm impressed so far. Just have to learn to pick around that middle pickup.
