    Hello

Long time visitor, first time posting.

Today I found the guitar I have been craving. After researching for a couple of years, I had convinced my self I wanted a PRS Santana SE in orange. This one is the right guitar in the exact color I wanted andsince it is used, I believe I got a great deal from a very reputable dealer, Dave's Guitars. I should be getting it soon. Can't hardly wait. It has been several years since I played a guitar but it is really exciting to find something that seems to fit all my likes. Soon, I will be getting a Fender Blues Jr to go with it. I am so happy it triggered me to create an account here and share my experience with you.

Here are some pictures I downloaded, more to come once I get it.

    Yow ! Nice one !

Welcome to the zoo OldMan. You'll love that guitar, PRS are really well built and very comfortable to play. I have a Soapbar SE I'll never part with. You know if they have a thick/wide neck, like mine ?

Welcome! That is sure a beautiful PRS, and you're right, Dave's is top-notch.
I've had an SE before and they are really great guitars, I am sure you will love it.

I have avoided the PRS guitars because of the strat styled bodies.

The DC style is WAY better.... Very nice!

I have seen the soapbars, tempting, very tempting...

It's a good thing I already have enough guitars.

    Welcome and congratulations.

Love PRS SE's and the orange color. I have had good luck with Dave's Guitars.

Welcome to ETSG.... And... Welcome back to guitar playing, too. That's a very nice guitar to get you back in the groove. Now let's talk about getting you an SG... :naughty:

    Welcome OldMan

Nice guitar, awesome color. I own a yellow one and it is my everyday player. It sits right next to my bed, at arms length for a quick jam, practice or simply musing. These are great guitars, well crafted and tons of mojo. No need for mods but I had to personalize mine a little. I installed chrome pickup covers and updated to schaller m6 locking tuners which improved the already good tuning stability. Hehe! Well now I can be more aggressive on the whammy bar. Now I will strongly recommend Dunlop strap locks. She may not be expensive but she is a beautiful investment and the strap lock could prevent serious dings and dents.

    Cheers and congratulations.

Just came across this thread again.
Congrats on the Santana. Gorgeous looking guitar.
I forgot to mention in my response to your amp thread that I tried the Katana using a PRS Custom 24. Exquisite guitar!!! And sounded phenomenal through the Katana! But again, its all about trying them out and the tone in your head that you're trying to find.
    Enjoy the Santana.
