This Standard was made October 28 2019. This is my first humbucker guitar in years. At least 20. My go to in that time was P90 Juniors. But I felt the need for humbuckers again and I’m glad I did. No issues with the finish or build. Had to oil the fret board and set intonation but nothing major. I was a little worried about the neck profile but it is very comfortable and fast.

That's a great looking SG. Was it purchased as brand new? I bought a new SG special in June 2020 with a manufacturer date as 2019. Regardless enjoy.

Coming from playing P90s for so long I don’t know much about humbuckers. But these 490s are great and easily nail the sound I go for. Honestly they remind me a lot of P90s but with a fuller smoother sound and of course no noise. I’m very impressed

    Noooo....Pelham blue...one of my favourite guitar colours...and I don’t own a Pelham blue SG.

    I...must...look...away. Nice choice though!

Love the guitar and the amp! I just posted a fairly lengthy reply to your earlier thread a few minutes prior to noticing this one where you had bought an SG standard

That is a fantastic combination. Hard to imagine an SG standard through an Orange rig sounding anything but awesome.

Thanks! It is a great combo! Gibson and Orange go together great. I tried newer Marshall’s and Orange blew it away

Nice, looks like my 2017. However I had to add the poker chip myself which is missing in these photos. These pics were taken the day after I received it.
    It's a stellar guitar! 20180117_153105.jpg 20180117_153105.jpg 20180117_153105.jpg 20180117_153105.jpg

I had to send three of these back because of major QC issues, very disappointing...glad you got a good one OP.

Really? Sorry to hear that. What were the issues? I went over mine carefully before pulling the plastic off the pick guard because I read a few reviews where there were issues
