I've had the red one since the late 90s. MIK at the Unsung factory. Came across the gold one for sale locally. Came with a Pearly Gates and an Alnico II Pro already installed. I'd love to complete the set but these don't come up often.

Very nice! Really love the sparkle color, you don't see them that much.

Thanks! This is the first gold I've seen for sale so I was pretty happy to snag it. Still haven't seen the silver, blue , purple or green. I will say this now having played two of the same series... These are some of the best Epiphones I've played.

That is amazing! Is that from the same series? Doesn't look it with the bound body. Love it.

    Don't know. I got it in 2006 and I think it's a 2000 model

Nope, the back on the right is a Custom. Silverflake has a clear finish over mahogany.

Funny thing about the backs on these sparkle tops... My Red has a pretty standard 3 piece body and the wood grain matches well enough that it looks good. Pretty much what you'd except from an Epiphone. The Gold on first inspection looked to have a 1 piece body. No discernable seams anywhere. Then I checked the butt end and found it's at least a 5 piece body with a veneer. Not complaining though. The veneer looks really nice. They did a great job with it. Just found it funny that a 3 piece can leave the factory uncovered and the 5 piece gets the veneer.
