but it's the only email address i have, i get my internet through sky broadband and they don't have a e-mail service. is there no way the forum providers can just block new people from joining unless they have a subscription based email address? i don't think its very fair on the people like me who have been here a while without saying anything to cause offence. this is the only forum on the internet i know of that has such a high percentage of genuinely nice people on it and I'm glad that your trying to keep it this way but i don't think this is the way, people with subscription e-mails can just as easily be "undesirable" as those without. ::edit:: i just sent this ^ to tom and he said.. "I wanted to block on new members but the software doesn't allow that. I am working on something that will hopefully help. We even had a post on here from a member offering email addresses to those who need it but in the loss of posts today I don't remember who it was. I will work with anyone to get past this." so we'll see what happens, as far as i can tell all nice members just have to keep nagging tom
Exactly. I used to have an @ntlworld address, but after 6 years it ended up getting 250+ spam messages a day, and I had enough of sifting through them, so I got a new one. And I'm not going to go and sort out a new address just because some arseholes have caused a problem. Sorry, but I'd rather not post at all if this is what this place has come to. Thanks. All the best for the future to everyone. *raises glass of squash* Night x

I use Cox, but I used to get at least 300 spam emails a day so I switched to gmail, now i get none and I like it a lot. I don't even remember the password to my account anymore or this wouldn't really be a problem
Oh, well, we have until the 1st. Too bad I won't be around to post pics of the Who or Thorogood or my Classic when I get it.
seems like such a waste too becasue I been posting here for more than a year and then some jerkwads who dont want anything to do with this place come and ruin it.

I hoped it was Nickel and said Sheriff.....seems it's Pot mettle and doesn't say Sheriff at all? Well there ya go! Pip Pip Lexie
isn't there any other, less drastic, solution?? I only use gmail and hotmail, I hope I can find my old account, that should do it. None the less, this skcus*. (no offence to anyone)
This is really lame... All you should do is ban domains like .info and .biz thats where spambots are from
