NVGD: My First Vintage! 1969 Gibson SG

Just found and purchased my very first vintage guitar, a damn near like new 1969 Gibson SG Standard! This was purchased in early 1969 and played for a very short time. Then it was stuffed in the closet never to see the light of day for over 50 years!

I have looked it over top to bottom and everything is as it should be other than the tuners. It had Grover's installed right out the gate because they were the popular tuner of the day in 1969. Other than that it's completely unmolested! I have a set of 1969 Gibson Kluson Double Line Double Ring Tuners on the way right now...

Unfortunately as I said in my other thread I just had Rotator Cuff surgery and I can't play this beauty right now!

Man, you don't do things halfway. You decide to get a vintage SG and you get an incredibly clean one, patina of age but otherwise looks showroom new. Man, I love that! Enjoy!

It's engraved, just super clean! And the three pickup thing has crossed my mind!

If you send it to me I'll break it in for you. Teach it some songs. I know allot of 1969-70 music. That should be the first thing it plays. Otherwise you may put it into shock.
