Is that yours in your Avatar? Looks like it. I have tried to contact Gibson for detailed info on mine, but they are not doing that during Covid...

The easy dater states:

Your guitar was made at the
Kalamazoo Plant, MI, USA
in 1966 or 1969
Production Number: 801563

Serial numbers from 1961-1977 are useless for dating. Pots are the best indicator besides build features. Your pots say late 1968, so this was likely built in early 1969.

Yes, I'm aware of that. The pots were what I was going by, but all the other indicators just help verify the time frame.

Man, that is clean ... my 2019 Standard ‘61 has more scratches!! Is that Maestro cover plain or just so shiny you can’t make out the Lyre engraving in the photo?!

Routed for 3 pickups ... just sayin’ ... :hmm:
Pretty much all of them from the large guard era were routed for 3 pickups. Hence the large gaurd
