I am ABSOLUTELY GARUNTEED to get a Gibson!!!! See, It turns out that the Digital Piano my Grandma bought a few years back (which I never play) is worth abot $1800!

She's gonna let me either sell it or trade it for a Gibson and If I sell it I should get about $1000! OH MA GOD I'm SO EXCITED!

    I CAN'T WAIT!!!

    I'm serious this time!

Do it right this time Angus! Don't just take whatever "Allens has in stock." Don't be so impulsive. These guys will see you coming a mile away. Start looking around at as many places that you can. Play as many as you want. Try making some deals, I almost never pay hang tag price. You can always get them to forget the tax or something. Try not to act so excited that they know they have a sale for sure.

Try to get your (or your grandma's) money worth. Make sure you get a Gibson this time!!! Don't screw up. You have been lucky to get a lot of chances to make something happen. This time, make us proud, don't settle for less and don't pay too much!!

    Good luck!!!

If they have a Gibson I trade for a Gibson, NOTHING ELSE! If not, Well I'll just sell it and buy one!

Good luck. I'd set my sights a little higher than the faded special.

Well, I'm not sure how much I'll get. I have to give my Grandma the rest of the Cash after buying it though since she's the one who bought the Piano

If I had 1000 bucks, I'd wait awhile so I can get a 61 reissue, or at least a Standard. I've tried the Faded series (on all the model) and I have not been satisfied with it. But hey, if you like it and it's good for you, then go and get it. Unless you REALLY want the Reissue, or etc. but too excited to wait, I just suggest you to see if you can get a Standard, you know, a more traditional looking SG (lacquer finish, trapezoid inlays, holly headstock, etc.)

Yeah I agree. Find yourself a used Standard, easy for under $1000. You might even get a 61 for under a grand if you're patient. Doing this for your budget may unfortunately have to involve eBay so I hope you're not too squeamish about that. If you live in a really big area you may be able to find something used close to home. Go for the goods, not what's cheap, new, or in stock.....

Is that "Grunted"? Or "Guaranteed" do you mean? my hopes were dashed when I realised it wasn't "Garroted"

Excitable too, although you'd never know it from the hundreds of times we have already read this verbal diahorrea

I can't wait either- then maybe these hyperactive ravings might cease...

Oh No!??? you mean the other 700 posts were just you joking?? Tsk tsk shame on you - Angus....

You don't listen, do you son? [slap slap slap]

    Angus - mate....

forgive our almost total lack of interest/belief/patience, here.... remember the story of "Peter and the Wolf"?

Google it, if you don't know... read the story... especially the bit at the end... and then try to imagine the analogy - you are "Peter" and we are the pissed-off villagers.

If it really is going to be 2 weeks - are you gonna do me a personal favour and please STFU until it's in your hands?

    Huh?

Please??? I, in turn, promise NEVER to read anything you post in future - how's that? A Deal???

    OK?

    [adds Angus to "ignore" list.....]

Okay... Angus pissed me off in the stupid Cobain topic so I have to say that what Strange Brew said was hilarious!. But Angus is just a 13 year old longing for a Gibson SG. Let him be excited once in a while (or all the damn time. lol). Hell, If I had the money Id buy him one. Kinda like when I was 13 and wished someone would just buy me a Mortal Kombat II Arcade ;D .. But seriously. He's a member of this forum and feels that he is close to getting his first Gibson. I say let him be excited.

That was still hilarious though ;)
