While your guitar is tuned to open G (or A) , try some slide.

Then tune to open D (E) and play again. :thumb:

That would probably be DADGAD. Page stole it from Bert Jansch (along with Bert's version of Blackwaterside which he re-titled Black Mountain Side :(). Bert himself took the tuning from Davey Graham, pioneer of folk-blues style guitar in the UK. :)

You need to find a slide that fits.

I love open G ! You can also try "Tumblin' Dice", "You can't always get what you want", "Brown Sugar", "Wild Horses" and the live version of "Jumping Jack Flash" by the Stones.

If you like the Black Keys, they have a bunch of open G tunes too, like "Busted" and "Stack shot Billy".

I play a lot on Open D, since a capo on the second fret gets Open E. I find that slide is easier on the Gibbys, with their flatter radius. My Sorrento has small frets and a flat-ish board for the best of worlds.

I use open G for playing crappie novice sounding slide.
I've also dabbled with Zeppelin's "That's the Way" from Zeppelin III. I'm just not very good at that sort of stuff.
