    Hello to all,
I would like to know if the SG uses the same long stem potentiometers that are used in the Les Paul or the shorter "standard" pots. Also, I would like to know the depth of the cavity in the back of the SG where these pots are mounted. I'm helping my son build a knockoff of this guitar and getting some of these details would be very useful.
Thanks to anyone who can help, J Bowersett

Actually... they're sort of medium shaft. There are SHORT shaft ones, like used on amps, Tele's and Strats. There are MEDIUM ones, like on SG's and thru the wood flattops. Then there are LONG ones for carved tops like a Les Paul.
