Pickups literally vibrating and feeding back

Gotcha DrB, I have 57's in my Memphis built ES 135.

 

I have a humbucker acquired in a box sale awhile ago that has what looks like a ribbon stuck to it around the coils...similar approach?

 

Still worth wax-potting. Personally I would do it to every pickup. It just makes sense.

 

A pickup ALWAYS (well ... almost) has a tape around its coil to protect it from damage.

 

Luckily it's only the bridge PUP giving me trouble, which isn't as deep to accommodate the rear contour. That channel also gives you something to mount foam on if needed for the neck PUP.
