Thanks. The SG Classic is indeed my favorite. The Kinman zero-hum P-90 in the bridge makes it extra special.
Is that polished aluminum Daniel? Whatever it is it looks great! That as live performer would sure grab the eye. Especially under some lights. I am digging it
Here are my two: 2012 SG special '70s Tribute Silverburst: April 2007 ST faded special: Luna Here's April with a few more mods: and a little closer: My favorite guitar of any I've ever played is this faded brown SG special. I fell arse over teakettle for her in 2008 and she's still the Queen of my music room and it's ten years later. Love this faded special: Here's Luna, a little closer and some different light... The 2012 is mostly stock, with a few superficial mods. The 2007 has been lovingly modded with all the best of everything I could buy or make. Each has a lovely unique voice all her own, and I am very fond of my SGs. These do everything I ask of them. And they bring out the best in my music. Lucky me, I have other fine guitars I play, but these two have carved out a niche for themselves in my soul. IMHO, SGs are like that.
I think from memory it's highly polishing steel. Didn't feel very flimsy when I put it on! Loves finger prints, but then again the whole guitar is ebony sooo....
What do you guys usually use for a camera? I just use my iPhone 6S camera. Pretty average as you can see at night time photos.
I am using an iPhone 8, seems to pull off some good photos. I have a nice cannon SLR that I should really pull out for some pro shots one day
Here's a pic from my SG Class of 2017: 2017 SG Standard T - Heritage Cherry 2017 SG Gary Clark Jr. Signature - Gloss Yellow 2017 SG Standard T - Alpine White 2017 SG Special - Satin Cherry And why not a pic from the Dark (Ebony) Side: 2005 SG Standard 2016 SG Standard HP 2018 SG Standard
Holy smokes Arctic! That’s a serious collection. Your border line needing to seek some professional help :) I am always curious when I see so many SG’s from one year. What was it about the 2017’s that spoke to you?
Very classy photo. Something about the cream pickups pops out against everything there. And the cherry looks very deep.
these are great you guys... Oh and I get some decent photos using my darn phone which is an iPhone SE. I'm always amazed at the quality of the pictures I get with that, because I use a Nikon D-300 professionally, as well as a Nikon D-5300 and I have some fine lenses. The best photos I've got were taken with the Nikons, but all my more casual pictures were taken with my phone.
Hey Biddlin! You taught me how to set up a guitar a year or so ago through your setup method I saw on various forums. This is my first forum post and I want to say thank you, I owe you a few beers. This is my contribution to the thread! A 2017 SG standard with some SWEET 57 classics stock
