Angus young signature, sold, sad but true
2014 Guitar center was selling as a 61 reissue but not quite. Once setup it's playing good. Some crappy soldering but working on that now.
Here are two more from the same series.
Beautiful SG, how is it possible to sale ??
Gasing, it's a total shame, regret it everyday.
This is my 2013 sg standard

^ This has got to be one of my favorite colors! Nice one @Demon Dave !
Very sad day to sell that one.. QUESTION?.. how to you de-commission the Maestro Vibrola?.. and is the long and short version basically the same?
New member here and wow there are some Sweet Guitars appearing here in this post!
I'm happy to share with you my first Gibson SG and this one is a great guitar.
The p90s sound amazing, she can really roar!
This is my first proper SG. Strangely enough, a p90 2012 lefty came to my attention, thanks to my brother for sharing the ebay ad.. I could not resist not to bid.
My first was a cheap black epiphone with a bolt on neck back in 97.
Of course I don't mean to bash on epiphone, they have come a long way and greatly improved their quality across their range..
But man does a Gibson play and feel great :-)
Have a great day everyone
Welcome and happy new guitar day.. looks like a nice SG Classic there.. should be some great deals for lefties.. as the market can be a buyers market with less of you out there.. nice one you got there.. P90's are awesome..
Hello from Finland!
Hello to everyone! This is my first message here.
This is my early 1975 SG Standard I bought few days ago. It is all original and in pretty good shape. I have to put it refretted tought. The guitar has ebony fretboard, Super Humbucker (tar back) pickups and original Gibson Bigsby. Pots are dated week 52 and it must be 1974 altought it is not visible in any pot. It is kind of heavy for a SG: 3,6 kg. Body is made of three pieces.
Neck is deeper in the body in these oldies. I like that neck pickup is right next to the neck with no gap.
My other SG is Special Faded -07. I bought it few weeks ago. I changed Tim Shaw / BB2 pickups in it. It is wery good guitar for a price.
Earlier I have had Standard 1976, 2005 and 2013 and Firebrand 1980. Few years went without any SG, I played mostly LP:s but now I noticed again that SG is very comfortable and good guitar model for rock and blues.
Sweeet SG you have there!
Left: 2012 SG Standard 60. Has a 60's slim taper neck with rosewood and one piece flamed mahogany body. Seymour Duncan's favorite set - the SH2-N and SH4-JB is in place. That is a great set and really thickened up the sound overall imo.
Right: 2011 SG Standard Ltd. with the luscious baked maple board and chunky rounded neck. This one has serious mojo. Has the original 498T and 490R set. I have a set of Gibson 61R and 61T I might put in but do you think that would be too similar to the SD set on the other??
Yes, everytime I open the (hard) case, my heart increase the speed
There was one for sale, about two hours of drive from me. I must have looked at that ad more than 30 times. Such a beautiful thing! But having two SG Standards with '57s it would have been a total overkill to get a third one. And it was priced firmly at 1K, so I kept resisting until it sold.
I know exactly how you feel, it happened to me thousend times.
2015 upgraded Translucent Ebony SG Standard,
Hey thanks a lot!
It's true that one can come a cross good deals for lefties, but used SGs don't come by as often as other brands(ie Fender) do.
Have a great day!
Hi, congratulations for your new sg, it's a cool guitar
I agree with you that SGs are more comfortable to play than les'pauls..
They are cool but also heavy and access on top frets is not great(for me at least)
