I've had this 1980 Firebrand for a couple of years. It has very low frets and a nice smooth ebony fingerboard with a fairly thick neck profile. Very comfortable for me. The original owner put in some Seymour Duncans back then before they started identifying different models, so they're like SD-1's I believe.
An excellent example, and the pick up ring on the bridge pick up takes it next level. Although it still suffers the same flaw as our classic customs with the antique cherry as appose to the correct black. I give this one two additional nods, one to the pick up ring and the other to the three pickups and going to two. Not as clean, but technically the same modification as Angus’
