Without his contributions to music we would probably still be listening to single track recordings of acoustic music.......

I've been fortunate to own many guitars bearing Les Pauls name which to me are far and above any other guitar I have ever played.

A co-worker of mine actually knew Les and his son Russ and went to see him play at the Iridium several times a year. He called Les' son today and Russ told him that before he passed Les said:

“Tell People not to be Sad, I had a great Run, I don’t have any regrets, My friends gave as much to me as I gave to them”

What a true class act. O0

Lester will be laid to rest this afternoon 8-21-09 at Prarie Home Cemetary in Waukesha, Wi.
