    yeah, when they give you the sale window, ya gotta grab it!!! they close the window quick...back to the overpricing :roll:

    But wait... the SG Standards are still showing at reduced price of $1,199.00

    Gibsons web site mentions the SG Special (not faded) and Standards have reduced pricing so perhaps the Faded s were reduced in error? Faded s @900.00 are just crazy. :D

    Guitar center still has them for $699. Did MF ever lower their price?

    900 bucks for a faded with a gig bag is crazy!!! I hope that is just a pricing mistake.

    [/quote]well its been that way for a few months, minus that little sale a for a few weeks..that really makes the Classic the best buy, period...the specials at $1000. is just as crazy...with no hard case...

    no doubt about it Mike, the SG classic is one of the nicest looking, best playing guitars under a grand that Gibson makes (guess I should say made since they still are on the discontinued list).

    The Fadeds aren't even worth $500, but that would be a reasonable and realistic price. The Standards should be around $900.
