After looking into a bunch of options, I have decided on a Lollar p90 for my 91’ SG jr. Going with the cream cover for my cherry finish - can’t wait for that.
I’m torn between the high wound p90 or the regular. I play lots of different genres but I’d say rock is as specific as I can get.
For those who know - do you prefer the higher wound or regular p90?

I have five P90 guitars and had a Godin with high wound Duncan Design P90. I didn't like them because their clean threshold was real low. Are the Lollar the same ? It is easy to add dirt to a clean tone, it is less so to add clean to a dirty tone.

I'd go for the regular, a P90 growls and barks easily.

I had a set of lollar p90, regular wound if my memory serves well.
Very nice pickups but too polite according to my taste.
I had them installed in a Telly and then in an SG Special.

I've heard a lot of good things about the Duncan antiquity P90.
On a budget the Toneriders P90 seem highly regarded too.
