Removing 2013 SGJ Pickup covers

Always loved my Sgj tone but hated the EMG look. Here's how I removed the pickup covers and installed new base plates. Overall it's an easy mod (I did it without removing the strings, in my living room, in a onesie, while sick, yeah).

Before we start, let's get rid of that bloody awful TRC

I had to spiff up my 14 LPJ. I put a nickle cover on the neck pickup and added a LP custom pickguard and new reflector knobs and a blank TRC.

I was tempted to get one of these and do something like that.

Too bad I don't like the fat profile necks. :-/

I thought they came with 50s or a 60s profile necks

I thought they were just 50s necks but I might be wrong. This is a big sturdy 50s neck which I prefer

i think 2014 models might be '60s. All the 2013 versions I've seen have had '50s
