Saw ZZ Top Last Night and Have a Question

Gibbons opened with something that looked like an SG with a Flying V neck.

Is that a standard if obscure Gibson model or a special all of his own?

I believe it's a Gibson Custom Shop model made for him, not sure if they ever offered them for sale though.

Only a very few were made for sale I believe. This article is from 2015.

TNX for posting that, YOU MADE MY DAY ! What is Billy G playing ? I thought it was a Black Beauty CUSTOM at 1st but that headstock, NOPE ! We kno he is a big Modifier but......IDK......if that's a GIBSON, someone did a great job. Magnatone Amps=MONSTERS !

Albert King had a flying V with an open book headstock.... coincidence? I think not....

He started the set with the Bolin SG/V, then switched to what I think was a vintage Gretsch Gretsch-alike in an LP style unit, "Legs" or "Sharp Dressed Man" (can't remember which) with the furry guitars, then finished up with a pukka LP.
