(Hey Tri...... Congrats on your 100th post man!!! 8)...........)
Doh! I didn't even notice!
I've got a PT Signature, which is basically a Classic without the TOM.... It is my #1 (or 2, depending on the day! ) axe..... If I didn't have this one, I'd have a Classic for sure...... Noting like a couple of P-90s in a nice slab of mahogany! I really love my classic. Here is a pic in the rehearsal studio
I HATE the SG Classic! > Why? > Because Gibson won't make it in lefthand! > Oh, that is, unless you are Elliot Easton and then they'll gladly make a couple for you! > ;D

Pete Townshend playing the original SG Classic (a modified SG Special) in 1971: And another shot, which shows off the natural finish: And then my SG Classic:
Yeah right, I'd like to see you play a left handed guitar "flipped around." ;D Esp with all the bevels of the SG in the wrong place! Not to mention that you can ever get the thing intonated correctly becuase of the bridge slant and the controls knobs dig into your arm! > I did that about 20 years ago with a 60s SG special. Never again! :)
cos they don't sell the damn thing here! ;D (drooling)
Order one off the internet.

The volume/tone control knobs aren't in your way and the intonation is completely adjustable. Yeah, I've thought about putting in P-94s but I'm hoping that they will make a classic in left handed. On a related note, somebody on the Gibson Forum put some P-90s in a Flying V faded and since I have uh, several of those as well, I'll probably put P-90s in one them with a custom pickguard.
a guy I know has classic, and well WOW! what a sound I love it. in fact I might go and see his band play tonight.

Looks exactly like the one at my local GC... on the woodgrain looks different. Odd, half the Classics I see are light red with a quilted look woodgrain, and the others dark red with a more traditional woodgrain. I like the dark ones better.
Well, I don't have it in my hands yet so I'm not sure just how dark or light the finish is... It's in transit. Actually, right now it's in a UPS facility about 5 miles from my house... But I have to wait until TUESDAY to get it. I'm DYING to get my hands on it!!!!!!
