Man am I bummed! I've finally saved up my $849.00 for the past couple of months for a sweet cherry SG Classic, went over to the Musician's Friend website earlier today, only to find it gone up to $1059.00! Anybody else know of a reputable dealer with a better price, or should I just suck it up and fork out the extra $210.00?

Have patience young padawan. The dark side is currently strong with MF as of late.

I have seen the price on the Classic range between 799.99 and it's current price within the last year. Do not pay more than 849.99. If no one purchases them at these extreme price points hopefully the price will drop.

Not unless you buy it used. The Classic is an exclusive model made only for Musician's Friend. I love mine -- though I was bummed when one of my tuning machines broke. Still -- those P90s scream!

What product number is on that SG at 849... you can usually order the better priced stuff online at the better price, IF you have the product number (which will be different for the higher priced one!). Yes, they exclude the cheaper one from searches.

Also, MF cookies remeber what you've seen, and the prices attached, so clear them cookies. In fact, if you order online and there is a price drop, you're flagged as having bought at the higher price, and that price will continue to show for you (thank you cookies and I'm beginning to belive IP also). I know this, because we got that ES-333 at a good price, but later (two weeks) they had em cheaper and they didn't show except at work. Very sneaky of MF to do this.

Hang on to those catalogs, they will have expiration dates on them, but if you have a catalog with a lower price and its not expired - they have to honor the price.
