after a long break with no sg’s i ended up with these within a month. 99 special, 12 61re, 19 jr, and 95 special. i play the 99 the most. the two newer ones i am almost afraid of since they are near mint. it is good to be back in the sg family again, i forgot how wonderful they are to play and i sure don't miss lugging my les paul around.

    Nice collection!

I had a cream 2000 SG Special in the past just like your 1999. Great playing guitar. Those have Ebony board.

Honestly, watching that part of the video makes me second guess owning a Gibson on some level. I want to support American labor/companies or I would have just bought an Epiphone or similar guitar. As has been said before, a CNC machine doesn't care what country it's installed in or what country it's programmed in. It comes down to the quality and/or type of wood, overall fit and finish, and supporting American workers and companies.

Seems like that proves there is more than enough replacement SG's out there if mine is ever destroyed or stolen so I guess that's re-assuring.

Sorry if this de-railed the thread.

I was trying to point out that . . .
A new SG contains the trees soul waiting for someone to adopt it and make it a part of their own.
And not playing them is like abandonment & neglect.
The trees life awaits to be set free again thru vibration and sound .
    Make it so !
