Hopefully only the side wings were cut off similar to melody maker headstock and not across the top of the open book.

We had one thread in the past where someone clipped the horns off an SG.

It’s an SG, not some pedigree dog that someone thinks needs the tips of the ears surgically clipped off.

He wanted it to look like an Epiphone. The contrary happens all the time.

Yep! I gave it to my daughter but she didn't like it due to kneck dive, and she was just learning so didn't help. As I suffer from GAS (guitar aquisition syndrome) I thought I'll do something with that. Will try and send 'as is pics asap.)

I have a 2012 SG 61.reissie satin with the baked maple board. Love that guitar even with the neck dive. But then when I swapped the Kluson tuners for aged Grover Milk bottles the neck dive got worse. Again, didn't mind it too much.
Finally added Vibramate with Bigsby B5 and it's balanced really well now. Keeping it this way as realised I used to grab the neck too hard to stop it diving previously.

I have a good quality leather strap which has enough friction not to slide too much.

I’m surprised more people don’t go with a wider strap. I started on acoustic so when I have a guitar that is neck heavy I just use an acoustic style strap that you tie off between the nut and the tuning pegs, guaranteed to keep your guitar from pitching at the neck but also moves the body more to your strumming hand so if you’re not used to it might take a little bit of adjusting.

Really is as simple as a 3" leather guitar strap. Really that simple. Less than $30 on Amazon. Have an Epi G400 and a recent kit build with wide leather on both no neck dive.

This is the strap I built for my SG to solve that problem. Works great. image000000_01.jpg image000000.jpg

I had the same problem with my Sheraton 2, I bought a two and a half inch wide strap, problem solved.
