ive noticed that sg pickups are tilted backwards in comparison to the strings
i was wondering how much of a difference in tone i would get if the pickup was parrallel to the string
i have been told that you can put a piece of credit card under the pickup to straighten it out
are there any pretty simple ways that you can make it parrallel to the strings
i might consider doing if it makes a somewhat difference in tone

Some weatherstrip foam can do it.

IF the pickups are set very close to the strings, you'll get a more bottom heavy tone with the pickups parallel.

Know that they can never been parallel for all playing positions. Compromise is in order. I prefer to have them parallel when I press on the highest fret.
