As promised from another post, pics from another forum of cool SG's in different colors. Caution, may cause SG lovers to get hot and bothered.

First up a vintage SG in Heather Poly. Supposedly very rare custom color. I think this was a mid 60's model.

Think we just had a new member post one similar. In my opinion that gold and black works. Interestingly, I don't care for the Goldtop LP look, but I really dig this.

I have developed a desire for one of these Iverness Green Specials. If I'm not mistaken one of the big box music retailers had a run of them recently.

Last one before I leave for the daily grind: Owner said the color was Mink. Again, never heard of that color, but I'm liking it.

SG Diablo I believe. Interesting top carve, and a metallic red. Sweet.

Gray, or faded Pelham Blue? The white plastics look good to me on this color.

Blue Mist is the official color name on the Jeff Tweedy SG.

It was on Reverb.
I just noticed the pick guard hangs over the edge a little. The light aging is cool.

Is Heather Poly a poly based paint under nitro clear like Pelham Blue ?

this ought to be the "Mary Ford Signature model SG...'
Les Paul himself didn't dig the SG, but maybe Mary did.
She was a fine guitarist in her own right.

I posted the gold one the other day. I completely agree that I can't get my head around gold top Les Pauls but there is something 60s muscle car ish about the gold sgs.

Is Heather Poly a poly based paint under nitro clear like Pelham Blue ?

I really don't know. I saw someone else say that Gibson called all metallic colors poly. I did a cursory internet search and couldn't really find an answer either.
