you never know what you will find in the low cost guitars... lots of people upgrade pups and tuners so might get a smoking deal.

What makes you say they're Gibson ?
What's the screw size, metric or Imperial. Screw head, slot of Phillips ?

The back plate is the way to tell. Then visually verify bobbins & internal construction.

    But easiest & most importantly...
The back plate will have "Pat No 2,737,842" stamped into the metal.
In addition Shaw pickups are said to have two addition groups of ink stamped numbers with each consisting of 3 numbers (for a total of 6).

There is even further debate about which groups of ink stamped numbers are Shaw pickups.
A date stamp will not necessarily mean that the pups are Shaw humbuckers but merely another type of Gibson pickup made on that date during the Shaw era.

FYI: Not all pickups made during the 'Shaw era' at Gibson were actually Shaw pickups.

Ya gotta have the right ink stamped 6 numbers to be legit Shaw pups & avoid controversy!

Back Should look something like this.

Not all Shaw made humbuckers from that era have ink stamps.

They are generally in the mid 7's as far as ohms go...and loud!
