If anyone remembers i was asking questions about a white SG i found a while back. well shortly after that a lovely guy posted one in excellent condition from 2013 even though it cost more i just had to get it haha.

Everything is original and has all the case candy. I'm so glad i took the leap to get my dream guitar and man its such a beauty to look at and play!

Looks like a wide headstock 61 RI. If that’s the case it would be 57’s front and rear.

What a beautiful guitar!

Oh, more photos please!

That’s a really sweet looking SG. Show us some more pics! I really like to check out the finish up close, and I love looking at pics of the fretboard

Nice. Everything about this guitar, the fretboard, the thin finish that reveals a hint of the mahogany pores underneath at certain angles, etc. just makes this guitar look so inviting as if begging to be played. Great find.

I think I already said WELCOME TO ETSG
so I won't repeat myself...

I'll just say Congratulations on an excellent choice of guitar.
That one's a real beauty. The 2013s seem to command higher
prices for a couple of reasons (bogus ones...)

The 2012s were issued with Fretboards made of Baked Maple.
Gibson was forced to use this without warning because Federal
Officials raided their factory by surprise and confiscated contraband Ebony
and Rosewood that Gibson had purchased in Third world countries
with dodgy political situations.
The baked maple is actually an excellent material, I have a guitar with
this and it's given great service for seven years with no problems
But guitarists responded badly to this innovation and the 2012s took
a hit in value.

The 2014s mostly were issued with Gibson's 140th year banner at the
12th fret. Nothing wrong with that either, but many guitarists wouldn't
buy one.

The 2013s were built in the traditional manner, so they usually
get the nod when players have a choice.

All of them ROCK! Including yours. So enjoy... and let's hear your
review once you've got her set up and put her through her paces.

Thank you, now I want a 2012 SG. Happy now?

I sure love mine! And they usually sell for less
and play just as well. I think that Gibson made Les Pauls with
the baked maple too. And I'm sure the reaction to them on MLP
was scathing. And undeserved. So those probably sell cheaper too.

I've been hoping that guitarists would realize how cool the baked maple
feels and plays, and the prices would rise because they only used this
material for about one year.

But that doesn't seem to likely any time soon. 2013s like the OP's
lovely new SG get all the praise, and they do deserve it.
The OP has a beautiful guitar.

So I'll just enjoy mine.

Here's some more pics, my camera sadly isn't good enough to pick up the grains of wood you can see under the finish. And yes i know if could do with a clean and i will get to it once my cleaning supplies i ordered arrive.
Ive played it a bunch already and im in love with it.

Thank you all for your kind words!

I think it might be fake.

Hah! Just kidding! It's awesome! I've warmed to white lately, I always was a 'gotta be cherry red!' guy but some of the beautiful white SGs - especially yours - I'm seeing have me rethinking that big time. Jam on, there's no guitar like an SG! Welcome to the family!
