Yesterday was the first sunny weekend day since I got this guitar so I decided to take the opportunity to take some nice pictures of it in natural sunlight.

Except for 1 changed bridge saddle and a replaced plastic switch tip she is an all original near mint condition 1962 Les paul SG Standard with the rare Ebony Block tail piece.

Anyways, here are the pics

Thats my "Holy Grail" :Droolin:

Glad you like it. It is the Holy Grail of my collection, I don't think I will ever be able to top this one, its just too mint.

I haven't decided on a permanenet name for her but for the time being I have nick named her Black Cherry for the obviose reasons that ebony = black and its a deep cherry finish.

Mere words do not do this guitar justice. Even the wiring is immaculate! Thanks for sharing pic of this stellar axe.

Thaqnks guys, glad you like it. I searched a long time to find the right one and when I saw this one I just new it was THE ONE.

Yes Alain, it is all original with the exception of one bridge saddle that was replaced (the original is in the case pocket) and they told me the switch tip was replaced but it is the correct type that is on it.

:Droolin: That oughta be worth a few shekels... now we wonder how we can get an aftermarket tailpiece that looks like yours. prolly has PAF pickups too. I'd be paranoid to play that at some of the gigs I've been to. *grins... but guitars need to get played. thanks for sharing this little bit of heaven... play well, and don't leave it in your truck when you take the lady home.
