To all the veterans and family members of veterans on this forum.
You are welcome. Trust me, it's a very nice feeling to have people thank me for my service but I am one of the lucky ones. I'm still here kicking around. Memorial Day is really for those that didn't get to go home again. All I had to give up was 2 years 11 months and 26 days. They gave all. I thank them for that.
one way I always remember memorial day is by sitting down and watching a military movie. Each year I pick a different one. This year it was Patton which is a really fascinating look into one of our most unique miltary figures of WWII. Oh and the book Patton was really a good read too.
