I never saw the said pics either.
Another disciple on the dark side!
This grey Nighthawk is a beauty!
2010 Les Paul Custom.
Got it cheeeap! Thought if I didn’t like it I could make money on it.
So I'm assuming you like it?
Yep! Haha! I’m going to try the 498T first. If I don’t like it’s sound, I’ll be chucking a JB in there.
The JB has lots of mids which works well for cutting through the mix for solos.
I used a JB/59 combo in LP, Explorer, Flying V in the past when I had those guitars. I used 300K pots for the JB so it doesn’t get too shrill and 500K pots for the 59 in the neck position.
Now my favorite is an SG Classic with zero-hum P-90’s and an SG Special with stock 490’s that also sound great to my ears.
I got my Iceman with the SH1n and SH-4 combo, so I’ve had that for years. I know them very well. It’s got the stock 500k d taper pots in it.
My 2017 Standard and 2018 Tribute
Nice, is it a Les Paul Tribute on the right ? Incredible guitar for the price !
Customized 2017 Les Paul Tribute, killer!
That's a beautiful Tribute you have there. I see you've put a lot of work into it.
Yes, that's a 2018 Gibson Les Paul Tribute. It came without the washer installed, but was included with the case (err soft case) candy. It even came with a set of new unopened Gibby Brite Wires!
And you are correct, it is an incredible value and an amazing player! Everyone should have one
Very nice! Reminds me of Glenn Tipton's from the early era of Priest.
Very nice Specials, are they satin finish?
The yellow one is. The white one has a gloss finish and ebony fingerboard.
Melody Maker Special, 2011 stamped two days apart. Crappy (night time) photo, the dark one is actually blue. I should take some better photos of both.
Cannot go wrong with a flat slab of mahogany equipped with P-90's and wraparound bridge.
If we're doing the sibblings thing.
@DrBGood, did you strip the finish on that Epi Special?
