Glen Campbell was an Ovation guy, right?
yeah he has a signature model with them. funny thing, i just did a quickie search to see if he ever did play an SG and on his website gear page he uses a pod xt ;D i wonder what his patches are like? seems like he's a strat guy too that would make a fun thread "players you least expect to see playing an SG who actually do"
I guess the dumbest thing I have heard about SGs is that they are satanic guitars... when everybody knows that is only the red ones
Those damn red ones... Hehe
I wish my guit was posessed!!! >
;D ;D As long as you possess it........ then you have half the battle won. Practice will take it the rest of the way.....
I wish my guit was posessed!!! >
Just hope it isn't repossessed! ;D
Well, the SG spawned this forum, so I guess it's retarded ;D No, I'm sorry. I'm very new on this forum so I will try to behave - just can't help myself... :uglystupid2:
This wasn't really retarded, but it was funny: a salesman at Guitar Center told me he used to be really into SG's, but he realized that fat kids look stupid with them so he switched to a Les Paul. ;D

Okay, you can laugh at this too....I won't buy a 335 because short legged guys look REALLY short behind on of those!!
Get the 339. Looks like a 335 only smaller. Everyone will think it is a 335 and it will make you look bigger.

Got a Black '06 SG Standard Ends in 666 Also - My daily workhorse - play it more than any of my other guitars (which include a 05 LP Standard, 05 Explorer,06 Faded V,Ibanez RG 2570E, Strat(s)...) :Bangin: :Bangin: :Bangin:
If you guys think 335's look funny on the vertiacaly challenged, you should see what a firebird looks like I'm six foot and it looked funny on me....
copypasta from wiki: Tipton has used numerous guitars over the years: These include a 60s Fender Stratocaster up until about '78. During '78-'79 he used a black Gibson Les Paul Custom and he started using a modified CBS-era Fender Stratocaster with Dimarzio Super-Distortion (humbucking) pickups. For the Screaming for Vengeance tour he added a chrome pickguard. For this tour he also played a Gibson SG, which, apparently, he spray-painted black himself. The SG also had a chrome pickguard and stock PAF humbuckers. Around '84 he switched to a Hamer Phantom GT model which was fitted with one EMG humbucker, a Kahler tremolo and one volume pot. A signature model of this was developed and sold to public from '84-'86. Tipton still uses this guitar model notice the horrendous buckle rash
