Really good looking bass Col! Matching perfectly with your SG.

The "other guitars" are the ones that I am not playing at that particular moment.

Ooh! Oh Ivan, I want your guitars! Such a fine and unusual collection. Almost makes me want to pop over to Wales, haha. For some reason that Junior really stands out to me.

Colonel, I also want your bass!

This thread is no good for GAS.

Loving the Squier 51s. I wish I'd bought one about ten years ago when they were just cheap instead of being "collectable"!

I like Ivan's little Martin. Except I have one, mine's an 0-17 and I love it fiercely, so I don't need to go on a Quest to Wales. But it's good to see another one of those little mahogany parlor guitars. They have a very different voice from a big dreadnought. And a surprisingly clear and loud tone it is. Good choice. My old Martin looks great on a stand next to my SG... the new and the old.

Oh and it's also good to see a Heritage Guitar... made in the old Gibson factory at Kalamazoo.

this is a fun thread! let's see some more...

Beautiful instruments! Are there any sound clips on the Internet that we could hear?
Your jazz guitar really caught my attention. Very nice.

Ah, got the pic's of the Strat. This started off as a 2005 Mexican Strat with a HSS configuration on a tortoiseshell guard. I love the look of older, well used Strats and also wanted a real nice sound so i did this to it:

A bit of relic-ing, a bit of aging and some BKP Irish Tours. I know Relicing is a bit of a 'Marmite' subject but hey, this is mine and it's what i wanted to do with it!

Since the new "stone white" 7-string SG-type I assembled is my main player now, my other guitar is a salvage story from last year.....it had a neck snap just where the headstock joined it, but as you can see now it's just fine as frog's hair.....it's an '80's vintage Revival by Hondo, and it is now my main backup. My other guitar not pictured is a Canvas CMF-20 that is truly respectable also.
I do apologize for the picture (from my roommate's phone) quality. We all live on a budget here....but we do it well at least \m/:dude:

I'm fortunate enough to have a number of nice guitars. These are my Big Four.
(Strangely enough, I actually play my cheap Epiphone Casino more than some of these.)

I've got a few, but my 2011 American Standard Strat is way up there in my 'favorites' category..

John, I notice that a couple of those are your own builds. I think there is something very satisfying about playing a guitar that has been built from scratch by your own hands. :thumb:

There is! That Billy-Bo is now one of my absolute favorite guitars. I was really excited at how well it plays, feels, and sounds. The Flying V also came out quite well, but that Billy-Bo is exceptional.

    When I'm not playing this:

Then it's usually one of these:

The Strat is a 1992 AVRI '62 with a set of Rumpelstiltskin "Pre-CBS" pickups, and the Jazzmaster is a 2005 with Lollars and a Mastery bridge.
