Build your gallows right and lay that hangman's noose correctly now....
Though I have owned SGs since 1964, my absolute all time favorite Gibson that has ever graced my home (and me) has to be the ES335. Pound for pound the finest instrument made as a standard production model.
Now that I no longer own one due to the past wife being an idiot with finances and leaving me as poor as a pauper, (may she be struck by a passing bus) I now own the Epi copy as such, the Dot Deluxe. On a scale from 1 to 10 next to the 335, I'd give it an overall 7.5 and believe me that still beats the hell outta most other guitars being made today anyway!
But that vintage flamed top and backed 335 I had was the queen of the ball as far as I was concerned. They almost put me on suicide watch after I was forced to sell it to pay the many bills that "person" had foolishly racked up.
