Hey guys been thinking about selling my Epiphone SG Limited Edition G400 in White. It's got a few frets that need leveling and I've gotten so used to the real thing (Gibson) that I think that for all the years I've had it I've hardly played it, it's time to sell it. Has anyone come across this sought of dilemma before? What are these things going for these days anyway? Has an Epiphone case as well.
I could do $50... Honestly not sure, if you have had it long enough you will probably come out ok. Assuming they have gone up in prices like Gibson. Look up a new one and knock 20-25% off. That’s probably a good starting place
Yeah, same situation. I had one of those '66 Epiphone SGs and then I got a Gibson SG. There was absolutely no reason whatsoever to hang on to the Epi once I got the Gibson. So I put it up for sale on Craigslist. Mine was in absolutely mint condition, plus I had the correct Epiphone SG case, and every single thing the guitar came with -- including the original cardboard box! I can't recall exactly, but I do believe I asked for $300 and took $250. I was happy, so was the guy who bought it.
Musicians friend in Canada has them listed for $482. So I think somewhere around $350-375 Canadian, assuming it’s in good condition.
you look like a man who's blessed with fine guitars... maybe you can afford to be generous. *grins I know how it feels to own instruments that aren't getting played enough. It makes me want to turn them into money, and take whatever I can get. Good luck with it. I do love my two Epi guitars.
I think it perfectly ok to sell any gear if you haven’t played it for a couple of years. Musical instruments are meant to be played, not stored.
I can't get the image to load, but $290 US/$380 cdn sounds about right in good condition. (check my conversion rate, I didn't!)
