Treble/ Rhythm switch

Gibson SG Tribute 2019
I purchased this guitar about 8 months ago. It has never really sounded quite right to me although my main guitars are all acoustic. I started checking the set up and made some adjustments.
I set neck relief to .003 with action at 1.5mm High E and 1.0mm low e checking the sound after each adjustment and this made a huge difference. I adjusted the pickup height as both pickups were set way to low per Gibson specs. Intonation is very close however G and E saddles are maxed out and still sharp. (Replacing bridge with Faber locking bridge with saddles I can reverse to address this. I then added pickup covers and adjusted the pickup height and poles. Right now the SG is dialed in and sounds great but I noticed that my treble/rhythm switch has changed where as the treble is at the rhythm setting and vice versa. This is not problem but was curious as to why that happened. I didn't notice until after pickup covers were installed and assume it has to do with the pole adjustments. Has anyone seen this before?

Well, once I've purchased a second hand Les Paul, and as soon as I was home, I've noticed something strange about the switch: It was reversed. So I loosened the nut and turned 180 degree and it was back in business baby... But I remember my first shock :)

If you un-soldered the pickups from the pots, it's possible you soldered them to the wrong pot. (Neck p/u to bridge vol.)

The switch got turned around as the above post mentioned.

Congratulations on getting your SG dialed in the way you want it.
I'm glad your switch isn't reversed, everybody makes mistakes.

Anyway, welcome to the world of one of the most versatile guitars ever.
If you're used to playing acoustics (Like I often do and like I always did
before I bought my first SG) you might want to look carefully at what
you are doing with your fretting hand.

I spent so many years playing badly set up acoustics in bars that I had
developed a grip of death. This is not the way to play electric, and I had
to learn this the hard way. As you work your way into the songs you'll use
your electric guitar for, make a real effort to play with a relaxed hand and a
light touch, keeping your thumb behind the neck.

This made a world of difference for me, and my style took off, and I found
my self playing parts I never knew I could. it took a lot of effort for me to
overcome bad habits, but the SG sounds so good that it was actually a
pleasure, and a labor of love.

Oh and one more little detail: Our motto here at ETSG...

I chose the Tribute over the Standard for a couple reasons. I wanted something other than red or black and the maple neck. It is an unbelievable player and Im happy that I went with the tribute and you should be too!!!
