I love mini-humbuckers. I love 24 frets... and I love the vibrola.... is there a unicorn Gibson SG that exists like that?

This would be the closest production SG to what you want:

https://solidguitar.fandom.com/wiki/SG_Deluxe#1998_-_1999

240

Only missing the extra frets.

I added a Dusenberg Tremolo for $90 to my 2018 SG Special and am very pleased. No complaints at all.

You can mount a Bigsby B5 or a Bigsby B7 with a Vibramate plate.

Bigsby B7 and Gibson SG, very nice combo!

I'm right there w/You about Dusenberg Les Trem II's !
'Doozy's are BAD-A$$ !! IDK why, but a lot of players do not like them at all and while they aren't as good looking as Bigsby's, they aren't exactly the monkey's Uncle of the Guitar world either. ...With No Modifications necessary and it goes on/off in mere minutes, the Doozy LT-II is another great example of German engineering.

The Bigsby B3 will go on a Lester as well, no Vibro-Mate necessary. A player needs to get the Towner Tension Bar is all....I have a Bigsby B3 and its been on several different SG's/Les Paul's, it just will not stay anywhere close to in tune so its just sitting now. I tried to sell it and no one in my area wanted it, so its going back on an SG Standard next string change... .
The Bigsby B3 does look positively BAD-A$$ ! The B5 'Horse-Shoe' is even badder looking, IMO and on an SG the B5 is the **** !

Deusenbergs and Les trems look like crap

So do Checker-board's on SG's (or is that a chequered flag? WTF is that thing? Oh right, a pickguard) but hey, no accounting for taste, huh ?
Just for $#!Ts n Giggles, IMO, the black SG below is a bit of BAD-A$$ ery !Both looking and...mo' importantly....sounding.....it just is! IMG_1955 copy.jpg

That is the guitar in my profile... :dude: I just might have to add a vibrola. :D

That would seem like the most obvious route to go, it's cheap, easy to put on and looks good. If you want that rather pointless metal plate behind it I'd suggest you do some measuring first because I've seen incidents where they didn't fit.

The perfect SG does exist. It’s the new Iommi special. Thick neck. 90s that growl. It’s my new number 1. Over me LP 50s and custom strat. Guitar is amazing feeling and sounding.

From what I can see the 800$ difference will get you a nice sticker, some plastic and a fancier bridge. Congrats. I beg to differ, however. The perfect SG is the one that's free and within reach when you need to play.
