spunks. should i put it through the wood? not the chassis?
I don't think you want the speaker + or - connected to the chassis ground. It might blow up something!
I mounted mine on the cabinet......
Sounds cool through a Marshall 4 x 12 cabinet
through the wood it is then! thanks spunks. woulda fooked it otherwise.
Here's mine......Notice the extra hole above the Line/Phone jack...OOPS.
After I realized I would create a short and blow the amp I decided to go wood.
I can either put a plastic hole button in it or use it for the next mod...
Any suggestions for the next mod, CB? Anyone?
make a little access hatch to get to the valve for quick swapsies? something on hinges maybe?
Cool! How exactly is it wired? How does it sound with that cab Spunky?
well, you know i'm gonna be all over this!!
i gotta go right by radio shack on my way out to dinner! i have a 2 lead jack already i got for the lil pa toob amp project, will that work?
any need to worry about polarity?
hey spunk...is it loud enough to gig with thru the cab?
Yes, how is it?
and the bass is very clear now
Well, I pulled the trigger on one of the Vox 30 watters yesterday...
Hope it gets here before the weekend!
What if, instead of using a vox AD30, use this little baby
through a marshall cab ?
I don't have 1/4 of the knowledge you guys have lol... I've been playing guitar for something like a year and a half, and this head is something I would consider soonly...
That kicks the crap out of the little AD30's :)
They sound awesome. I have the ad120 combo, but have played the head, too and it sounds great.
I wanted a small amp anyway...
So now I'll have a 22 watt Mesa Boogie Subway Rocket
a Line 6 Flextone III XL at 100 watts
this Vox 30 watt...
then I'll get a Line 6 Spyder II head at 150 watts
(already got the slant cab for it)
I think then I'll be covered...
lol I only have a Marshall mg15dxf. Sucky you will say ? yes, but not trough my pedal I bought last year. A digitech RP200a. Pretty expensive, but the amp sounds great with it. I remember that I saw somewhere that somebody said that the clean channel was good. Well the pedal through it is awesome.
