Got this from a newbie....so I'm posting it for him.

Hello everybody and greetings from England
After a gap of about seventeen years I returned to playing guitar two years ago this March. I have no plans to play in a band and at present just play unplugged along with CDs on my computer. Way back I used to have a 1962 SGLP, but I sold it (for about 500 pounds) along with everything else when I stopped playing. All I have at present is a 2002 Les Paul, but at some stage I might think of buying a '63 or '64 SG standard with a Maestro. My main interest is Clapton 1965-1968, i.e. Bluesbreakers and Cream.
    Thanks.

Welcome to ETSG Mark. Sorry you had to get rid of the old SG. I think there are plenty of other people here with similar stories, myself included.

Hope you've got plenty of money! Prices of good MkI SGs are getting to silly levels, both in the States and in Europe. Good luck with the hunt. :)
