I've seen some very interesting mods to SGs over the years, but nothing like this.

Found it on eBay. The seller claims the body split along the seam, so he just reversed the "wing" and glued it back together.

Was that a smart move? You decide. Go here to see more:

I just don't know what to think ...

That hurts -- genetic engineering gone wrong -- like an ear grew on its butt.

Perhaps they saved the original transporter pattern and can reconstruct it!

With a little work this could be a good player again...but the guitar may never overcome the emotional damage.

Saw this on the bay too.

Definitely... "interesting" (to put it lightly). Not something I would personally go for but I'm confident someone can rock it.

;D OMG that looks dreadful, at least to me. but of course, I love my SG and would never mutilate it. I only have but one. maybe if a guy's got seventeen SGs he'd get mad enough at one to break it onstage. That's a wall hanger. a Harvey Wall Hanger! Someone should paint it shocking pink and hang fringe from it. and then play it wearing a shirt to match. and a wig... :idiot: Either that or pierce it with a couple big nails and stick a filthy bandaid on it and play some serious punk on it. :rockin: Oh and make a strap with leather on the shirt side, and barbed wire on the outside. paint your nails too, all twenty. If you've got the chops to back it up, this might be irreverent enough to get respect. But if you have the chops, maybe you have other choices. :?

chops do make certain things work better, like satire

that's right! satire is okay too. we shouldn't all take ourselves so darn seriously ALL the time. (only most of the time :D )
SG is known for 'Rebellious Tone" so maybe this mutant is rebelling against people who revere their SGs, like me. :coolsmiley:
I don't mind. maybe this one should have a strat pickguard on it, or would that be too much of an abortion? Paint a fake headstock logo on it... like Giblet, or Grubson, or Epiporn...

I can't help the weird laugh that comes outa me when I look at those pictures tho... an i don't know if that's a good thing.
it feels uncool. so I don't know whether to thank you for posting this or what. Ain't life a beach?

I guess if there wasn't bad taste, we wouldn't know
what good taste was.

Well, for good taste one could just look at your avatar, a basic single p90!

That Strat is just plain wrong.

I mean morally degenerate, spawn-of-Satan wrong.

It makes the "Louisville Slugger" guitar Fogarty uses on "Centerfield" look good. At least that looks like something semi-cool and is for a specific use.

This Dewey Decibel abomination doubtlessly has both Leo and Jimi spinning in their graves.

My stomach literally turned a bit at the sight of that guitar. Keep an open mind though, I suppose, as long as it isn't mine (or even a nice one for that matter)....

"I get so mad when I see those stars
smashing a perfectly good guitar..." --John Hiatt

but in this case... (or actually, all these cases) maybe it's justified. plus on on the stomach turning.

who'll throw the first brick? wrap a note around it, saying, "you deserve a brick today..."
