That's the one. Most of us have been polite...if there is a bid, let it go, he'll put up another when that one ends. Boom! $160+shipping...over, and over since October/November.

Edit: sorry, I know you weren't addressing me, but Sp8ctre turned me on to mine.

All in...a matched pair of power tubes($40-50), some better speaker mounting hardware($5 at my local hardware store), and shipping from West coast to East coast....~$250.

Edit: I actually had the tubes in my spares bin...slightly used, but plenty of life left on them.

I hope to welcome you in to the Sylkinite club soon.
If you join, re-mount the speaker with more standard T-nut like hardware, and install a good, matched pair of power tubes. Bias them correctly, and see what you've got.
There is a thread onMLP that's like 37 pages long about these.(backstage area)

Yes I have one Adrian and I love it. The clean channel is fantastic! You will never find an amp like this new for the $210 delivered I paid for mine. Plus if you read the thread I linked on the other board you'll a whole mess of mods...which some of us enjoy doing...

...if you're like me you leave them at work until the wife goes out of town...then they just get mixed in with all the rest of the big loud black boxes...

Congrats! Shipping should be lighter on your wallet than it was on mine, as you're on the West coast.
Best of luck! Don't let those stock tubes get you down!

It's a bit of a beast at 55-65lbs;) but better than lugging a half-stack around...

Tis a very nice amp at a VERY nice price.....but ---TBTH I only use 50% of my 5 watt tuber...... no sense being "greedy" and leaving all taht wattage bottled up lol

Congrats and welcome to the club! There are at least a dozen of us who picked one of these up and some bought two...

Here is the thread link again for anyone who wants to read it...

    http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/backstage/351961-i-bought-tube-combo-amp.html

If you get in there to work on it...please don't get hurt! I'm sure everyone knows there are lethal voltages and current in amplifiers...

Aaaaahhaha! You posted in my NAD thread asking for more pics...:cool:
Funny thing is, I was seriously thinking about picking up some Panama stuff when I ran across the Silkyn stuff.

I let mine stretch it's legs once in a while....I actually push it up to like 4 1/2:dude:
I've only giged it once. It worked out well. Just the onboard speaker with the volume around 3...perfect.
...and it weighs less than my Dual Rec head....even if i factor in my pedal board.
