yea, we all like to ogle pitchas of SGs. now all you need to keep the thread going is a good looking girl or two holding your axe. that'll keep the interest up. Girls like SGs, they don't weigh a ton and like you say, they play themselves. I took the Gibson 490s out of my 'faded Special SG' and put them in my step daughter's Epiphone Les Paul. I've been playing the two side by side in my living room, and let me tell you, I really like the sound of the neck 490. I liked it a lot in the SG, but it sounds better in the Epiphone! People complain that those pups are 'muddy,' but I never thought so. The Epi Les Paul gets a great 'jazz tone' with that neck 490 that I really like. Cut in the bridge 490 and it gets edgier. But I still think that pickup's a little wimpy. And my SG has it all over the Lester. sorry, we like your SG a lot. and the pickups you have are supposed to be nicely matched, so it's good to hear you're happy with them. Rock on and Safe Travels
